by_sword_and_axe As a longtime fan of Queen, it was a joy for me to find this album. It pleased me to hear Brian May & Tim work together on new renditions of the Smile songs, 'Earth,' & 'Doin' Alright' - I can understand the lyrics to Earth more clearly in this version. 'The Land' is my favorite song from this album, and it was one of my favorite new songs of the year. 'Country Life' is another favorite. I also like the 1960s electric organ sound on the 2019 bonus track live studio version of Just Couldn't Say

mike_boat Well, you may know Tim Staffell from his work with Queen's Brian May and Roger Taylor in their Smile days, you may know him as a part of prog rock band Morgan, but this solo effort sounds really different with the use of trumpet, sax and mandolin. It is well produced and has a great pack of guests. Very jazzy and funky. Fun to listen!

about

aMIGO is my first solo album, recorded in 2003 and released in 2006. It features tracks I have written throughout my career, starting in the late-60s Smile era, via Tailfeather, my collaboration with Richard Lightman in the 70s (who features on, and produced, the album), and many more later compositions.
